A Yerdle Story: A Rock-star Single Mom Pays it Forward

Tiffany C. from Albuquerque, NM shares an inspiring story about how Yerdle enabled her to provide for her son and help others in the process. Here’s Tiffany’s story:

“I’m a mom of a medically fragile child and I had to quit my job in 2012 to take care of my son. We live in a small studio and basically live off disability for now. Life has been challenging but I always find a way. In 2014, I found an app that looked fun and it allowed me to find items for my son for cheap.

It was fantastic for a single mommy on a super tight budget. I was able to give my son birthday presents, clothes, Christmas presents, books and everything I couldn't give him before.

I have watched Yerdle evolve into this amazing community with great people willing to help others in need. When they started the Yerdle Fund I knew I had to be a part of it. As a mom who has almost lost her only child many times, I knew the issues for families living in a hospital with their sick kids.

I applied for a Yerdle grant and with it I was able to donate a ton of toys to two local hospitals. They were very grateful and I was so happy that because of Yerdle, I could help people. For us, life has been difficult to say the least, but finding Yerdle was fantastic. Yerdle is so much more than just another app and I hope they stick around forever.”

You never know how the item you’re giving can impact a fellow member. Do you have a story or tips to help new Yerdle members?
