A Yerdle Story: Do What You Love From Home

Kathie B. from New York, offers a dose of hope for those who aren’t able to get out and shop or do anything fun. She says that “Yerdle gave me the platform to do the stuff I love, from home.” Here’s Kathie’s story:

“I found Yerdle when I really needed it! In late September I got a strange itching on my hands with no rash. Within 2 weeks I could not even turn over in bed without experiencing excruciating pain. Walking was almost impossible!

After many doctor appointments I was diagnosed with an unspecified autoimmune reaction.
Needless to say, I wasn't able to get out and shop or do anything fun. Then I found Yerdle!

Yerdle gave me the platform to do the stuff I love, from home. I retired from being an art teacher 3 years ago and became a professional felter.

Although I could no longer do the physical labor of felting, I spent time looking for cool things in Yerdle that I could use in my scarves.

I have found roving, silk scarves for backing, interesting yarns, doilies and other great stuff.

I’m feeling much better at this point in life, though I’m still unsure of where this ride is taking me. The great thing is, I can now do some felting using the supplies that I found months ago.

And a wonderful side note is, during this time, I received a Yerdle Fund Award for CCSPCA, our local shelter that had a hazmat spill over the summer.

Thanks to everyone who helped the animals out with pet food, toys, cleaning and office supplies.

Yerdle was there when I needed it and I'm having a blast!”
