Is getting outdoors and reconnecting with nature on your to-do list for 2015? Whether it’s running on the beach, hiking in the woods, or watching a sunset over a mountain ridge, reveling in nature’s beauty can energize and inspire you -- and help you keep healthy.
To help you get started, The GearCaster, a leading source for outdoor enthusiasts on emerging trends, companies, and technologies, and Yerdle are teaming up to find new homes for their previously tested gear, like bikes, tents, and more.
The Gear Caster, is a gorgeously photographed, beautifully written blog, full of great insights. Amy Jurries is the woman behind the blog and she’s our newest Yerdle Hero. As an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Amy eats, sleeps and breathes adventure. She’s passionate about helping others appreciate the outdoors as much as she does and by partnering with Yerdle, she’s making that possible.
“We absolutely love testing gear and this means our gear closet sometimes accumulates more than we can use on a daily basis. So instead of collecting dust, I am excited to work with Yerdle to get these items into the hands of people who will put them back into action outdoors where they belong, while doing some good for others in the process.” - Amy Jurries, GearCaster
Just before the holidays, Amy dropped off a car load of GearCaster-reviewed goodies, so stay tuned for items to appear in the store over the next few weeks. All Yerdle Credit earned from purchases of GearCaster items will be donated to the Yerdle Fund as well, to do even more good. The Yerdle Fund is a collaboration between Yerdle Pros and Yerdle staff to help Yerdlers do good in their communities. Pros nominate, vote on and run campaigns, using donated Credits to send items where they are needed.
Thank you Amy and GearCaster for your generosity! We can’t wait to hear about the adventures Yerdlers will have with your gear.
